RONNIE BAUER
DIRECTOR
Ronnie joined Klepner’s in 1977 and is the 5th generation to be running Klepner’s Jewellers and has had a distinguished career in the jewellery industry. He is a past president and current chairman of the Gemmological Association of Australia (GAA). He has served on the National Council of Jewellery Valuers board and is currently a board member of the Jewellers Association of Australia. He is one of the two Australian delegates to the World Jewellery Congress (CIBJO). He is also on the jewellery industry’s committee advising Standards Australia on precious metals and punches governing the Australian standards for jewellers. He is the holder of numerous jewellery related qualifications including Diplomas in Gemmology, Diamond Technology and Valuations. Ronnie has taught gemmology and antique jewellery for the GAA, NCJV and at various tertiary colleges. Ronnie is one of the few approved valuers for the Australian Government’s Cultural Gifts Program for the classes: British, Commonwealth, European & American silver; silver plate; objects d’art; gemstones and jewellery & watches after 1700. Ronnie was elected as an Honorary Life Member of the GAA in 2001 for his services to the gemmological community.
