Late Art Deco sterling silver marcasite and garnet dragonfly brooch. This stunning brooch is is covered in marcasites, with details picked out ijn garnets for a nice contrast. The garnets taper from the body down the tail, there are nine of them totalling 2cts; He stares out at you with two garnets for eyes, totalling 0.06cts. the really interesting thing about this large brooch is that the wings are actually hinged and can move from side to side. All for wings can move so the brooch can flutter a bit when worn. This brooch is approximately 7cm from head to tail, and has an 8cm wingspan.
